The pigs

"Two legs bad, four legs good."
"Four legs good, two legs better."
This is how pigs changed their slogans before fighting against the brutal rule of human and after getting the freedom that they fought for. Well, having seen the present political scenario and then hearing the speeches of all the Maoist leaders, I feel that the leaders are the epitome of the 'pigs' of animal farm. Simply putting, Maoist leaders are pigs. They are changing every agenda with which they started the war or people's war. They are demanding for seats in the cabinet, mocking different indigenous group despite the fact that they were the one who inflicted such issues in our otherwise tolerant and peaceful society. Their every speech seems contradictory to their promises and norms. They mock and insult everyone going against them.
I dream of a prosperous, equal, democratic or rather republic, peaceful New Nepal. But I do have a doubt if my prospect of this New Nepal is just a utopian view like that of the farm which the animals themselves had once dreamed of. And I'm skeptical that our situation might go toward regression rather than progression if we continue having this "pig's attitude". I'm definitely not a pessimist. I'm rather pragmatic. The ongoing chaos and instability have induced a sense of intimidation and doubt in me. Is the prospect of new Nepal possible when all we are experiencing is a split among ourselves and the leaders acting like pigs? We all dream of a nation where all of its citizens are "equal", not the one where "some are more equal."
